Have a long layover in Seattle? Leave the airport and explore! Take the link-light train from the airport and get off at King Street station to see the heart of all things great. Costs $3.25 each way so much cheaper than an uber.
What to see:
- Pike Place Market
- Gumwall
- Get coffee at the Oldest Starbucks (yes, there will always be a line)
- Fish Market (watch fish fly in the air-literally)
- Eat clam chowder at Pike Place Chowder
- See the best views from The Great Wheel
- Pike Brewing Company
What to eat:
- Bakery Nouveau
- Steelhead Diner
- The Belmont
- Top Pot Donuts
- Toulouse Petit
- Serious Pie
- Sweet Iron
We did all of this in 5 hours (minus all the restaurants.) Plan for long layovers, you easily can explore other cities.
