Victoria is located on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. To get here you can either fly, or take a ferry! There's heaps to do whether you are a foodie, hiker, surfer, or if you just love exploring a new city.
Best places to stay on a budget:
- Ocean Island Inn Backpackers: Located right downtown giving you an easy walk to any of the restaurants and shops. Serves free dinner every night from 5pm-8pm.
- HI Victoria: Also located downtown, so your close to all the nightlife and with it being 24 hour staffed, no need to worry about getting locked out. This hostel has a 40 bed dorm so you can even have a highschool reunion in this place!
Best places to eat:
- The Tapa Bar: Placed in Trounce Alley this place is perfect for a bottle of wine and sharing some delicious tapas with some friends.
- The Fish Store: This is the place to get fish & chips in Victoria. Located in Fisherman's Wharf Park, giving you a spectacular view, you can enjoy some good grub and have a cold brew.
- Jam Cafe: Perfect brunch spot however there will always be a line-up down the street to get in, which proves it's just that good.
- Finn's Seafood: If you're feeling boujee and looking for some good seafood, Finn's has a variety on the menu plus it overlooks the water so it's a perfect dining experience.
- Sherwood: Has a super cute aesthetic with a bit of a smaller menu but each meal is so good!
Fun things to do:

- Have high tea at the empress hotel
- Explore downtown and discover hidden alleys
- Watch the sunset at Kitty Islet
- Grab your bike/longboard and cruise on Dallas Road overlooking the ocean
- Go spend an afternoon at Fisherman's Wharf, look at the floating homes and enjoy some fish n chips.
